How It Works

  1. Book online, via WhatsApp or Telegram, or by phone, or simply come to the clinic between 9:00 and 18:00.
  2. Tell us which tests you need or show your doctor's request. If you are not sure, our team will help you choose in your language.
  3. We register the tests and, if you have insurance, calculate the price with your insurance straight away.
  4. A nurse takes the samples. If you are nervous about blood tests, tell us, and we will take our time.
  5. Results are sent to your email as soon as they are ready. If you need them in English or Russian, we translate them free of charge.

How long results take: express tests about 15 minutes; most routine blood tests the same or the next day; hormones, infections, and allergy tests usually 1 to 10 working days; histology and genetic tests about 2 weeks. We tell you the expected date for each test.

How to Prepare

  • For glucose, lipid profile, insulin, and most biochemistry, come after 8 to 12 hours without food. You can drink water.
  • Hormones such as cortisol are best taken in the morning. Female sex hormones are taken on specific days of the cycle.
  • For urinalysis, collect the first morning urine, midstream, in a sterile container.
  • Stool tests and breath tests need special preparation, and we will give you written instructions and containers in advance.
  • Tell us about any medicines and supplements you take, as some can affect the results.

You can do fasting tests at any time while the collection room is open, but it is usually easier in the morning.

A Doctor's Help Before and After Tests

If you are not sure which tests you need, or want to understand your results, a doctor can help. A short consultation to choose tests or review results costs €55, in person or online. If you have more questions, a full consultation with a general practitioner costs €95. You can also do tests right after an appointment with any of our doctors, on the same day.

Tests for Children

We take samples from children of any age, including newborns, in Lisbon and Porto. For newborns, we also do the extended newborn screening (heel-prick test) for congenital diseases, between the 3rd and 6th day of life. It is often not done in the maternity hospital, and you can do it with us. The test itself is free; you only pay for sample collection and sending. Our nurses work calmly and gently with children, and a parent stays with the child throughout.

Home Sample Collection

A nurse can come to your home in Lisbon or Porto to take samples. The home visit costs €120, plus the cost of the tests.
